Quick And Easy Cure For Constipation
Are you tired of suffering from constipation? Are you sick of feeling bloated and having putrid flatulence? Would you like to end the pain and discomfort associated with constipation? Do you realize the dangers of prolonged use of laxatives? Would you be willing to give up ten to fifteen minutes a day out of your life, if it would help you find a cure for constipation? What if this time would also make you more valuable as a friend, wife, and mother?
Your grandmother has preached this cure to you your entire life. She probably didn’t realize it would help cure constipation. No, this one is not fiber, prunes, fruit, juice, or even nuts. It is not drinking more water, or less dairy. It is also not exercising. All of these are important and will help find a cure for constipation. This one is far simpler. It is an exercise of sorts, but won’t make you sweat, won’t require any special clothes, or even shoes.
OK enough already! What is this magic obvious cure for irregularity? Chew your food.
In today’s world we have been trained to wolf down our food as fast as possible. We don’t have time to eat, so we eat quickly, because we have 300 other things competing for our time. Here is what happens when we do chew our food, and what happens when we do not.
First, when we chew.
Digestion begins in the mouth. Saliva contains enzymes needed to begin breaking the food we eat down. Our saliva alters the chemical makeup of the food. Chewing, also physically changes the structure of the food. Take grain for instance. Not only does the saliva change the grain into usable starch (sugar) so our body can absorb it, but the physical action of chewing mechanically breaks the fibers in the food. Your teeth effectively grind your food, so the saliva enzymes can completely penetrate the food you are chewing.
When you chew, your brain sends signals to your stomach and intestines that food is on the way. Your body starts producing everything it needs to properly digest the food you eat. When your stomach and intestines have a head start, the food you eat is more readily digested. It is passed through your system more efficiently and effectively. The more nutrients absorbed from the food you eat, the less fat that is absorbed for later use.
Read that last sentence again. The more nutrients that are absorbed from the food you eat, the less fat that is extracted and stored for later use. Ladies you are starving yourself eating fast, your body goes into panic mode and grabs up every gram of fat it can get, because it is not getting what it needs from digestion.
What happens when you do not thoroughly chew your food.
When saliva can’t completely saturate your food, it does not break down in your stomach. The acids produces in your stomach are made to react with the enzymes in your saliva. This is how digestion works. Less saliva equals less digestion by the acids. Therefore, only the outside layer of the food is digested. Your small intestine can only absorb a small amount of the food, just the outside. The result, besides the fat being absorbed (which when left in the food, makes your stools soft), is pushed to the small intestine to rot.
This rotting creates the gas, bloating, and when the water is absorbed, makes your stools hard. Hence causing constipation.
Now what about making you a better person?
God gave you two ears and one mouth. By chewing your food completely, you get a chance to listen better. You will be surprised what will happen to your relationships when you listen twice as much as you talk.
